Dispute Over Oklahoma Lands.

Tho Uncle Sam Oil Company, New Jersoy, is suing the Standard Oil Company for £250,000,000 as compensation for oil taken from 436,000 acres of oil lands in Oklahoma, of which the plaintiff Com- pany claims a lease, and which the Standard Oil Company has been operating for six years.

The Recorder of Cork has awarded the Corporation #134,250 compensation for the burning of the City Hall, the Municipal Buildinga and the Carnegie Free Library in December.
