Great interest is evinced in two important speeches by Mr. Lloyd George at Birminghan" to-day: The first was devoted to the repara- tions decision and the second to domestic problems.
Replying to the presentation of the Freedom of the City at the Town Hall, the Prime Minister humoroushy recalled that he was once accorded an even warmer reception there than the present one. This referred to the occasion during the Roer War when Mr. Lloyd Gearge escaped from a hostile meeting by the back door in a policeman's [uniform.
