KOWLOON DOCK BALL.
A Big Success,
The staff of the Hongkong and Whampoa Dook Company held their annual ball at the Kowloon Docks last night, and in point of success and grandeur the event eclipsed all its predecessors. An inprovised stairensa led to the top of the building, where the ball took place, the, railings being draped with flags which lant an attractive appearance to the entrance.
The dance hall represented the. Įsaloon of a ship, and was profuse-, ly decorated with. Japanesɔ| Hanterns. There were a number of beautiful arches, but the central one was the most out. standing. Over seven hundred lights were fitted in the hall, and when these were in full blaze the place appeared to be a veritable The sds of the | fairyland.
