The report of the Medical Reseuret Council includes a covering despatch by Mr. Balfour, as President of the Privy Council, who points out that the Council's work is already closely related to the work of the Ministry of Health, especially in tuberculosis, venereal and bygienic measures. The Council's work is also serving the interests of other Departments of State, notably is ecanection with enquiries as to industrial diseases, including miners nystagmus. He concludes that the Council has been directed to consider how their research organisation may be brought into useful relationship to corresponding organisations of the Domin:una and also to similar research worki elsewhere in the Empire.
