The Statutory Meeting of the mambers of the P. and O. Banking) Corporation, Limited, was held on July 8 at the registerd office,] 122, Leudenballstreet, EC.
The Secretary (Mr. H. J. Rolt) read the notice convening the meeting.
The Right Hon. Lard In- chcape. G.C.M.G.. K.C.S.L KCİE, i ha chairman), presid ed, and said:-Gentlemen,-I am very glad to meet you to-day at the first meeting of the P. and O. Banking Corporation, Limited. The report has been in your bands for some days, and if it is your wish, wo will take it as read. Do you agree to that? (Cries of "Agreed.") As you are aware, the issued capital of the. corporation is £2,500,000. A cer- tain amount was payable on allot- ment, and thathas been practically | all paid. The remainder was pay- able on July 1, and that, too, has been practically all paid up. I think of the total of £2,500,000- only some £10,000 is outstanding. Some people are out of town,
