London. May 31. The Ukrainian Diplomatie Mission has sent a letter to Mr. Lloyd George and the Foreign Office protesting against the reported intention of M. Krassin, head of the Russian Trade delegation, ta pay in gold for the proposed purchases of the Soviet Government of Russia in Western Europe, on the ground that a share of the gold in the Russian State Bank belongs to Ukraine, and Ukraine is partially liable for the Rumanian gold reserve which the Bolshevists captured. The Kremlin asks that the protest be transmitted to the Supreme Economic Council.
