and Koo Kwan, the Vice Mini- ter of Finance of the Militare Government; have jointly brought an action against Dr. Wu Ting- fang for the return of the surplus of the Custom duties, and that the Hon. Mr. E H. Sharp and Mr. Eldon Potter have been retained through Mesars. Descon. Looker. Deacon and Harsion, hile Dr. Wu Ting-fang has retained the Hon. Mr. H. E Pollock, Mr. Alabaster and M. F. C. Jenkin, through Messrs. Jobastone, Stokes and Master. for the defence.
Dr. Wu Ting-fung left for Shanghai yesterday by the Katori Maru.
It is also stated that the two foreign banks with which the money is deposited will not pay the sum over to any party pending the decision of the Court..
