The Committee records, with appreciation, the circumstance that a Chinese lady participated as a speaker in the proceedings at the last Annual meating. THE AIR ESTIMATES..
London, March 11.
Capt. G. F. Tryon, Under Secretary for Air, introducing the Air Estimates, stated the personnel of the Air Force would be reduced from 161,000 to 34,000 and the normal strength would be 31.500. He paid a tribute to the services of the Air Force in the north-west frontier of India, Mesopotamia, the Aden Hinterland, Somaliland and Egypt. It was hoped to have seven squadrons of modern aeroplanes in Egypt in April. Aerial photographs of the Nile floods would be most useful. It was proposed the Air Force have one rigid and three non- rigid airships, the Colonial Governments acquiring the non- rigid arships for patrol and survey purposes. He expressed pride that the great enterprises of the Cairo Cape, Australian, and Indian fights had radiated from England.

THE NAVAL ESTIMATES.
London, March 12. The revised Naval estimates for 1919-20 show gross ex- penditure of 497,000,000, for a personnel of 126,000, compared with £173,000,000 for £0.000 personnel in 1919-20. The amount assigned to "new" construction is £1,000,000, but this is entirely for completion of vessels la down during the war! Contributions from India and the Dominions, excluding New Zealand which is still being discussed, total £215,000,

HUNGARIAN PEACE.
London, March 11. Router understands that the Supreme Council has agreed in principle to the Hungarian Peace Treaty as presented and that it shall not be modified. The Allies are unable to accept the counter-proposals for the revision of the frontier and economic relations, which in effect meant the restoration of the Monarchy. The Council's findings will be communicated to the Hungarian delegation in Paris in a few days, after which Hungary will be required to sign within a week.
