FAREWELL DINNER.

At the Hongkong Hotel on Saturday evening, the members of the Hongkong Factball Club gathered with a few friends at a farewell dinner given in honour of Mr. H. McTavish (Captain of the Club and Mr. Walter Ram- say, of the Committee, both of whom are leaving for home on leave by the Empress of Russia this week. Mr. R. Henderson was in the chair.

After the loyal toast had been submitted. the toast of the "Parting Guests" was given by the Chairman, who referred to the brilliant work of the Captain of the team this year and the Clubs fine record and also to the sterling work of Mr. Ramsay who bad been an example to the other Committee men in the manner in which he had sacrifced a lot of his private time to the interests of the Club

Mr. McTavish, responding, said how great an honour he felt it to be Captain of a team like that of the | Hongkong Club and paid a strik- ing tribute to the sporting qual- ities of the members who had always given him their best sup- pect.
