The above photograph shows Mrs. Galda Wesella, the" world's only woman steeplejack, painting the lower part of the 195-foot steeple of the Congregational Church at Oakland. She is the wife of a steeplejack and took up his work when he joined the Army.

Marshal Foch was given a great homecoming demon- stration in Farbes, France, bis birthplace. Everbody gathered about the front door of his house to give him greeting and here he is shown addressing them from the steps of his home, after listening to their welcome.
