WOMAN IN SOLDIER'S UNIFORM.

At Liverpool a young woman, Laure Victoria Beak, who ap- peared in the Canadian R.AM.C. uniform, was sentenced to four months'imprisonment for the un- authorised wearing of a military uniform and the Military Medal ribbon. The rase, it was stated, came to the notice of the police in the course of complaints that a young woman in uniform had been frequenting the landing stage and obtaining money from soldiers' dependants who were about to embark for Canada on the pretext of getting it changed into Canadian dollars,
