NEXT SATURDAY'S

· PROGRAMME

The League games arranged for Saturday next are of a most interesting character, particularly in the Senior League, where form is being very much upset. The Nary's defeat by St. Joseph's is no criterion of the Navy's real form, and with all due regard to the fine game played by last season's Juniors, Navy hardly did themselves justice on Saturday last, there being several disturb ing factors to be considered.

On Saturday, the Navy' will be out for a win, as any other result is of not much service, if they still wish to be in the ruaning for the League Championship and the Club will be very desirous of winning also, as the Hongkong League Cham- pionship has not yet come their way, and at present their chances of winning this are good. Both teams will be at full strength and a great game is assured. It is hoped that the better team will win and as former games between i the two Clubs have always provided good sport, Saturday's contest should prove noexception.

South China should just get home against the R.A. but the Gunners are never beaten till the final whistle, and last year when South China led them 2-0 the R. 1. managed by grand football to draw at the finish.

St. Joseph's, if they field full weight, should beat the Police, but it will be a question of whether the Police defence can hold St. Joseph's clever forwards.

The Staffs have another stif hurdle with the Navy Reserves and they will need to win this game if they have aspirations of League Championship, while Club Reserves and Kowloon would appear to be good for 2 points each.
