INDIAN FRONTIER TROUBLE.

London. Nov. 19. Active operations have begun on the Indian frontier against the recalcitrant Mahsuds who have re- cently been most troublesome. Following rejection of the British demands a squadron of twenty-five neroplanes intensively bombed the Mahsul centre of Kaniguram, which was recently a British rost, and other villages. The operation was continued daily, all returning despite a heavy anti- aircraft fire. The Ameer has re- pudiated the Afghans who have taken up positions at Wana, in British tribal teritory.

DARDANELLES MUDDLING.

London. Nov. 12

In the Dardanelles Report the Commissioners find that the saf fering of the sick and wounded in the original tanding were chielly ascribable to the fact that all ar rangements were made on the as- sumption that the attack would be successful and consequently that

it would possible to establish hos- pitals ashore.
