The recent resolution of "the North of England Steamship Owners Association urging the abolition of all control of industry has, saya the Times, now been followed by a somewhat similar. one adopted at a special meeting of the Cardiff Chamber of Com- merce. The Cardiff resolution. urges the cessation of control, subject to the appointment of a local committee representative of the coal and shipping industries to safeguard the requirements of British home industries and the export of coal to foreign countries.
