I am directed by the Secretary of State for India in Council to forward herewith,
a Letter from the Treasury dated the 7th Instant, together with a Copy of a Statement of Her Majesty's accounts paid and received by the Government of India, on account of Colonial Government, China, from which it appears that there is a balance due to the Government of India of £2503.18.10, which sum I have to request may be transferred to the credit of the Secretary of State in Council of India at the Bank of England, a receivable order for the amount being enclosed.
The Schedules and vouchers referred to in the Statement transmitted herewith are annexed.
