CHINA'S DESIRE.

Cheng Ting-wang, bead of the Chinese Peace Delegation in Paris, has stated that it is China's wish to work with America, France and England, the world's three leading Democratic countries. THE ALLIED OCCUPATION OF GERMANY.
Paris, August 5. The text of the declaration signed on June 6 by President Wilson, M. Clemenceau and Mr. Lloyd George relative to the. alliet occupation of the Rhine Provinces has been published. The Allied and Associated Powers will not insist that the period of occupation shall last until the complete execution of the reparation clanses, because they consider Germany will be obliged to furnish every proof of goodwill and all necessary guarantees before the expiration of the period of 15 years.-Havas.

This is a new and hitherto unpublished picture of the city of Fame which has been the bone of contention between Italy and the Big Three at the Peace Conference.
