N. E. Kent and F.A Redmond made a second and successful attempt to Becure the final honours in the open Champion- ship Doubles at the H.E.C.C: ground last evening. There was a fairly large attendance and the spectators were able to witness a very hard-fought match, if not |consistently brilliant play. Cap- tain Murray and Jennings took the first set 6-1 their play being a decided improve- ment од the form they displayed oa the previous occasion, particularly Captain Murrary. Kent and Redmond opened badly, but improved in the second SOL, Redmond getting back to something like his usual form and his partner putting in some useful work. Their opponents however, were fighting hand, both at times play- ing brilliant strokes and there were one or two rallies which so far, were the best witnessed in the tournament.
