Paris, Dec. 9. Experiments with tanks for towing barges were made yesterday on the canal parallel with the Marne at Epernay. The barges were hauled without the slightest difficulty by a small tank at the rate of two miles per hour. Arrangements are being made for their general use qn French canal and river banks as the tanks are no longer required by the army.
