Until the Far Eastern steamship lines have cut-down) the amount of freight at Seattle to 2000 carloads, an embargo. against any farther, shipments has been placed by the U. S. Railroad Administration. There now are 4,537 carloads of Far Eastern freight at Seattle, 600 carloads of which is in storage. The embargo ordered by the roads means that steamahir companies must move 2,537 carlords of freight to get the rccumulation down to what is rerarded as a safe operating average."
A Japanese Dividend, The Toy Shosen Kabushiki Kaisha, of Kobe, proposes to pay
cividend of 6 per cent. for the. last term. This company was establish d in August 1916 with A capit of V2.500,000, and opered business with the Nireisan Maru, 1.05 tors, and the Bayshiro Maru, 1,740 tons. The Nireisan Maru sank some time ag, and the company received |Y 700,000 from the Kobe Marine
