Brook has been placed on the retired lind at his own requet, to: facilitate the promotion of young- er offers. Consequently Vice Admizal Bir Herbert G. King Hall has been promoted to be admiral, Bear Admiral John B. Kastans to be vice-admiral, and Captain 0. F. Henderson to be rear-admiral.
