The time during which Mr Pauncefote would have served the whole Salary of the Chief Justice, will be from the 11th Nov. for the 4 months, half his own.
Subject and is really a very small matter.
Mr Pauncefote did a good deal of work while on leave, & is entitled to consideration.
I think that, on the whole, he might be allowed to draw his half salary.
