I am directed by the Earl of Kimberley to transmit to you for your information copy of a despatch, with its inclosures, from the Govt of Hong Kong, reporting an arrangement between the Colonial Govt & that of India, by which Nations of India, having lately been members of the Hongkong Police force, will receive their pensions in India, through the Indian Govt.
I am to authorize you, on application from the India Office, to pay from time to time such sums as may have been actually expended by the Govt of India on this account.
