Death of Sir Gerard H. U. Noel. The death is sopounded, at the age of 73, of Admiral-of-the-Fleet Sir Gerard H. U. Noel, G.C.B., KOMG. We may recall that when Commander-in-Chief in China, to which station he was appointed in January, 1904, Sir Gerard was advanced to admiral's rapk (May, 1905); and whilst in the Far East received the lat Olase Order of the Bising San from the Emperor of Japan.
Encouraging Japanese Aviation.
