In return No. 2) - I notice in item Chinese Clerk that a salary of £125 has been dismissed; should this be noticed? And the case of Collins also:

At Kennedy's omission to report this dismissal (vide 83rd Col: Reg: ) be noticed? Why

Scanlan has been given the full salary of each of his acting appointments - His temporary appointment was approved by Lord Kimberley (vide), but nothing as to salary. I say that under the 107th Col: Reg: Sir A. Kennedy should have only offered Mr. Scanlan half salary, that as De McCoy will be entitled to his salary from the date of his leaving England, Sir A. K. should have done so to Lord Kimberley.
