With reference to my letter of the 14th instant, granting you an extension of the month to your leave of absence from Hong Kong
I am directed by the Earl of Kimberley to forward to you for your information copy of a dispatch from the Governor of Hongkong respecting the selection of twenty men for service in the Hongkong Police.
