A letter has been written to-day, which has not yet been sent, granting for Creagh one month's leave, without salary. But I have not seen the previous papers, which are in circulation. I have suspended the letter to him.

The letter to Creagh should refer to your telegram and say that he can have the leave if he is prepared to proceed at once to recruit there men during the month.
