Treatment of Shipowners.

At a recent meeting of the Council of the Hull Chamber of Shipping a resolution was on the agenda:"That this Chamber, the majority of whore members are not shipowners, protests against the u fair and one vided treatment of British shipowners by the Government." The Shipp- ing Ommittee stated that concrete cases now showed that shipowners were not only unable to make resaves for the purchase of new tonnage, but were suffer- ing beavy losses at this present rates of freight and war insurance.
