Volunteer Force Order. An Army Council instruction states that in future Volanteer officers provisionally appointed adjutants of Volunteer battalions will, if confirmed in their sppoint- ments, be gazetted to the General List with the temporary rank of es ptain. Those already appointed will be confirmed from the date of their provisional appointmente as at present For the period of their provisional appointmente officers will be entitled to the pay and allowances (at infantry rates) of their rank in the Volunteer Epros, but not exceeding that of a captain.
New W. A. A. C. Brauch. Those women who wish to do work with the Women's Army and yet cannot leave their homes will welcome the new branch of the W. A. A. O. which is being formed. The members of this branch will live at their homes and be employed in locil hoepit. ale and military shope. They will perform Army olerical work and work in connection with the financial department. Anumber of domestic workers will be re- quited, chiry cocks and waitresses. The khaki uniform will be worn where it is necessary for the carrying on of the work.
