DOOKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hongkong
and Whampoa Dooks have farther improved and after sales at $125 Busines s'e wanted at $126. has been done at $127 December and $130 February. Kowloon Wharvee have been the medium of a large business and the price tas advanced to $95 for caab; business has also taken place in them for January at $973. Shanghai Docks bars slightly weakened, bayers orly offering Tie71.

SHARE REPORT,
Messrs, Benjamin and Potts, in their share report, dated Friday, the 30th of November, 1917, state:-
Daring the week under review our market has been a good deal more active than for some time past and the demand for shares more general, resulting in a larger volume of business.
There has also been more doing with Shanghai, Cotton shares having come into demand there, but holders here are reluctant to sell, anticipating higher rates.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghai Banke have been dealt in at $625 and close with selleraler $630.-)
MARINE & FIRE INSURANCES-Unions have further receded and are now quoted at 2760 sellere, but shares could probably be obrained cheaper. Cantons are still offering at $390. North Chines have improved to Tle. 115. Yangtezen are enquired for at Shanghai $190 (Exoh: 73), Hongkong Fires have changed hands in small lots at $310. Chinis Firse are without business, there apparently being no shares on the market...
SHIPFING.-Deferred Indo-Chinas have again been the medium of a large business. The price, after advancing to $151 for cash, experienced a temporary set-back and shares changed hands as low sa 8148, when bayers again came in and cash thares being scarce, the stock quickly recovered its former position and close with buyers at $152. A large business has been done forward at $150 to 156 February delivery. Preferred shares are wanted to a small extent at $385, Donglasen have also been in favour and have been booked at 380 for cash and $84 February. Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboats have not received much attention and are a little wenker with sales at $184. Shell Transporte are in demand at 110/-, bút a higher price -meat he forthcoming before any shares are obtainable. “Star” Ferries continue at $28) with no business reported.
