No. 5. 296. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly |marked "To..der for Quarries” will be received at this Office unt:i. Noon on Monday, the 3rd day of December, 1917. for the letting of the undermentioned Granite Quarries at Hongkong, Kowloon, and the New Terr.tozis, for one year from the 1st Janusry, 1918.
Each tender must be accompanied by a receipt to the effect that the tenderer has deposited in the Colonial Tree sury a sum of 85" as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if the tenderer refuses to carry out his tender and com ly with the cordiliona boreinafter contained, should the tender be accepted.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or & y tender.... Forms of tender can be obtained from the Director of Public Works,,-
