Advices from Saattle state that of the 20 wooden ships the Sloan Shipbuilding Corporation is bu id- ing in its Olympia and allied Puget Sound yards, four are molor-ships and 1 of the con- tracts call for steamship. The motor-ships will be twin-screw v ssels, with the engines alt, sad the oil fuel tanke under the bridge, and captain's quarters amicships. The steamships will be single screw vessels, with their, engines and boilers amidships. Both motor ships and steamers are being built for a speed of 10 knots per hour. The first vossel is to be delivered next December. and the 20th will be completed and turned over to her owner be- fore July 31, 1918.

From the Busy, Mason Point Beacon beara N. 51 E., distant 5.84 miles. The Centaur Upper Buoy has been moved and its navigating colour changed, from red to black. It is now moored in ab ut 28 feet of water 01 th southern side of the channel and the northern edge. of the shoal, and from the Buo Mason Point Beacon bears N. 81 E, distant 6.1 miles. All bearings given are magnetic, and depths are those of low water of spring tides. As rap changes are apparently taking place in this section of the river, it should be navigated with caution.
