I have been here, I have had but few weeks leave, and then only on account of my wife's illness, which compelled her to have a change. Even then, I have not been out of the Colony, and consequently I have been available when my services were required.

In reply to your despatch no. 115 of the 26th of September, I sanction the increase of $5(?) per annum, which has been voted by the Council to the salary of Mr. Willcocks, the 2nd master of the Central School, on the understanding that this additional salary is to be personal to the present holder of that Office.
