Hesare, Benjamin and Potte, in their share report dated Friday, the 13th of April, 1917, state:-- Our last report was dated the 5th instant. The Easter Holidays have intervened, end since the opening of the local market on the 10th instant, the volume of business transacted has been on a moderate scale. In the speculative soolion, Hengking and Whampot Dicks have been the chief attraction, and have been in 'good demand, Shipping shares have been out of faroar, though there is more enquiry at the close for Deferred Lados. There has been a good demand for Investment olcoke, with fow sollers in evidence, and prices have an up. ward tendency.
The Shanghai market has undergone no change of importance. There is a little more enquiry for Ootions at the close, Shanghai Cottons coming though at Th. 117 and Kungyike at Tis. 131 bayara. Langksia have dedined to a baying quistion of Tis. 17, whilst Shanghai Docks are offering al Tis, 88, Plantation rubber in quoted at 3/14 10 3/13, market quint.
BANKS-Hongkong and Shanghai Banka are in demand at $705, and probably more would be paid.
