SHARE REPORT.
Messrs, Benjamin and Potts,in their raport, dated Friday, the 28th January, stalo :- Since car last report of the 19th instant, the Obinese New Year bolidaya have intervened, and business has in conscquenos been very limited. The market has not properly re-opened, and there is very little equity. Quotations for speculative stocks remain unchanged, whi'at investment shares are alill hard to place, and can in most cases be obtained under current rates,
The Shanghai Stock Exchange has been cloted from the 23rd instant, and does not open till the 29th. A few salen of Shanghai Cottons have been made locally at Tle. 124 March.
BANKS-No boriness is reported; there are buyere at $705.
MARINE & FIRE INSURANCES.-Cantons have been placed at $875, and are on cffer at this rate. Unions Lave again found buyers at $900, whilst Bongkong Fires can be obtained at $375, and probably ander this rate would be scompted.
EBIPPING.-Denglunes, after sales at $116, cash and $120 Marab, are wanted at $117 cash and $121 fareb, and close in demand forward. Deferred Indes have bayers at $1821, for the Settlement, Biar Ferries are on eller at 886,and Swanboats are “utill wasted" ut $201. The Steamboat Company announces the following figures for 1916-Payment of a dividend of $1.25 per "shara; "writə “öff book values of atormers and whatves, $50,000; transfer to Special Repairs Fand, $20,000; payment of a bonus to steamer," officein and engineers and office stil, $5,000; and carry, forward to new account, $20,168.80.
REFINERIES-China Sugars bave been placed at $128 cseh, and $132 March. Malabons have been sold at $371, and at the close. are wanted at this rato....
