How Britishers Regard the Mave.

Germany's latest move is regarded as another adroêt attempt to rush the Allies into a so-called peace conference. at any cost with the object of jockeying them into a false position in the eyes of Neutrals; but yesterday night's bomb- shell is unlikely to have the desired effect in America, since Germany, which has porsistently refused to reveal ber peace terme, deliberately ignores President Wälson's appeal to both sides to "place their cards on the table.". RUMANIANS MAKE BRILLIANT ATTACK.

Petrograd, December 27.

A communique anys that the Rumanians, in a brilliant attack, re-captured the height in the Kasin River valley on the Moldavian frontier. Fierce enemy attacks on the Rumanian front in the region of Dragoslave were repellent.
