we have no doubt settled the matter in half an hour's conference. Unless these alterations in the present plans are effected, we and other members of the Community are subjected to a very great injury, to a marked inconvenience of the gravest nature, and to serious deterioration of our property which is most unjust and uncalled for. In fine, we would say that on behalf of ourselves and on behalf of the public we beg most emphatically and most solemnly to protest against the Company being permitted to complete the Pier upon the present plans.
