What we seek for and what we believe the public requires is about 300 to 350 feet from the landing sufficiently wide to allow of ordinary House boats and Sampans to pass and repass at all states of the tide and all hours of the day. A passage 40 feet wide and 10 feet high at high water proposed by our Mr Keswick would sufficiently answer the purpose. A second opening of the same extent would be desirable and we consider should be provided.
