Bad Weather Prevents Encounters.

November 26, 6,20a.m. Renter's correspondent at the British Headquarters, writing on Saturday, states:-Apart from minor incidentais and trench warfare, there have been no encounters to-day, rain falling heavily and persistently.

There were other deeds of a somewhat similer obernoter, but only one case of life-saving—that in which Second Lieutenant Henry Kelly, of the West Ridings, four time brought back wounded, besides doing conspicuous work in an attack.

There were outstanding cases of privates saving dangerous situations. The first was that of Frederick Edwards, of the Middleser Regiment. His part of the line was held up machine-gua fire and there were no cfficers left. All was confusion sad there was every indication of a retirement when Edwards, grasping the situstion, deshed out alone on his own initiative and knocked out the gun, with a total disregard for personal danger, which made a Yuribor advance possible.
