A Moulmein Ambulance Unlt.
We have acme reason to b lieve that the question of reising an ambulance unit in Moulmein is being considered by soma who hold positions of izflosure (e83× the Mon'mein Advertiser). So far se me can learn, the matter is one that has at present nothing definite about it. It is being considered in a general acrt of way. The ides, however, is one that would do great credit to the town if it was definitely taken up and steps taken to carry it through. No other department of the war i-] so humane as the ambalance corps, in other words the Red Cross Society, and if the scheme i to raise a Iccal unit ia seriously taken up wo are sure that we have the material to hand in the town,

Postal Law in Vladivostok. H.M. Consul at Visdivostok (Mr. R. M. Hodgeon) writes that hie attention has been called to the fact that home firme, when telegraphing to firms at that port, act infrequently fail to give an adequate address to which replies should be rent, It should be noted that telegraphic or abbro viated addresses are not accepted by the Russian postal authorities, and that, consequently, it is im. possible for the persons who re- -caire such telegrame to answer. them. Mr. Bodgson adds that local firms do not have telegraphic| address lists, and it is therefore advisable that full addresson should be given by firms to whom eenders of telegrams are unknown.
