Our last report was dated the 13th October, aud in the interval car local market has been again active, with an increased business dons in speculative stocks. The chief interest hea centred round Chins Sugere, which have had a rise of fourteen points during the week. Invest-ING & Co. MANILA-Mossre ment stocks have been in good demand, but once again there is little inclination on the part of holders to sell. The Changhai Market has MACONDRAY & Co., SINGA- been more brisk, and a good business bas been done in Cotton shares, which at the close are somewhat easier owing mainly to prest taking. PORE- Messrs. Hongkong and Shanghai Banks are slightly lower with sales reported at 1770 and $765. There are however buyers at the latter rate, Union Insurance have been dealt in to some exiant at $925 and contine in demand." Xaugiamos have been sold to Shanghai at Shanghai $255 and #252%.
