US Quartermaster General Retires.
Major General James B. Ale shire, Quartermaster General of the United States army, has been retired from sctive service owing to physical disability. General Aleshire will be remembered by many in Manils, where he served some ten year ago as depot quartermaster, at that time hold ing the rank of major.
