Reparation will be carried into effect to-morrow under the following conditions. The duel shall be with pistols at twenty-five paces between the two contending parties, advancing and firing at pleasure after the Witnesses have given the signal to Commence.
Either of the adversaries can fire, although he be wounded, provided that he can stand.
The adversaries can advance one upon the other at pleasure, without running.
If at the moment of making a shot a "cap" should fail, it shall be replaced by the Witnesses, during which time the adversaries will not be allowed to advance.
If either of the contending parties shall fire his arm without touching his adversary after having made the last shot, they shall return and place themselves at 25 paces distance, the conditions established.
On the condition Sinn Cheong having had the choice of weapons on this question proposed, with a view of discussion the Sword, which was refused by Seven de la Forre Buine.
