Twenty-three cents a pound is the newly established price laval of the large producers for copper b metal, says a recent American paper. With the first quarter of the year practically stripped bare, and with consumers still clamOGT- ing for prompt deliveries, the s trend of prices is distinctly b. upward. Late last week March delivery brought between 22 b. and 23 cents. One of the leading producers scraped together some 2,000 tons for February, which was promptly sold to Connecticut Valley consumers at more than 23 cents, 30 days.
