"Judly that Mr Devin omitted to pay an allowance amounting to $1220 to Police Constable Mahomed Tha, and retained this sum from September 1871, till he was called to account for it in June 1872; and that the said sum was not paid on the latter date, though he had returned a Voucher for the same marked 'paid', well knowing that he had not done so.
"Why That Mr. Quin omitted to pay the sum of 60 Dollars entrusted to him (No ...) granted to Loh Un Ding, Sergeant Interpreter of the Police Force. That he paid Loh Yun Ting $10 Dollars only on account, improperly retaining the Balance of $50 Dollars, though he returned a Voucher for the full payment, bearing the signature of Lok Yum Ting having received full payment, and certified by Mr. Rum binne having been paid on the 18th, 19th or 20th April 1872.
