Catton Mills.-The market for these shares has bean extremely quiet. There are buyers of Ewo's at T 1576, Shanghai Cottons Tia 86 and sellers of Kang Yiks at Te. 143 and other quotations given above are all more or less Dominal.

Mesars. Wright and Hornby, in their share report dated December 10, state:-
The firmer tone which we recorded in our last report developed into quite an active market and a fairly large business has been transacted for cash and time chiefly in Indos, Douglas's, Wharva, Docks and Cements.
Bar Silver is quoted at 263 per oz. for ready.
Exchange on London opened today at 1/11) TT., on Shanghai 741 TT. and 75% for 3dja bills.
Banka-Sales are reported of Hongkong and Shanghai Banks at 800 and close with sellers at $805.
Marine Insurances. Cantons were sold at $425 and there are further buyers. North Chinas are quiet at Tla 175. Unions are firm at $916 after sales at $900, $905 and $910 Yangtzes are wanted at $280 ex. 73.
