It is at present understood that the Superintendent of the Hospital is paid from private practice.
He should be required, when called upon to do so, to make all Post Mortem Examinations of Bodies taken to the Hospital - to give evidence before the Coroner or Justice of the Peace in the Court of Summary Jurisdiction, and to perform any duty attaching to his profession which the Colonial Surgeon could properly expect at his hands.
