Death of Rov, Samuel Pollard,
Nowe was received in Shang- bai, on October 12 of the death, from typhoid fever, of the Rev. Samuel Pollard, of the United Methodist Mission in southwest Obios. His death took place on September 15. By the paesing of Samuel Pollard, west Obina has lost probably the greatest pioneer missionary of Yunnan, He ome to China about 1890, Basociated with the old Bible Christian Mission, with the Rev. F.
