July 31,540 v.m. An Austrian communique says: The Austro-Gerasas, after several days interval, resumed the offensive on the entire front between the Vistals and the Bug. They pierced the Russian line west of the Vieprz, in the district of Kimiel, on a frent of misteen miler. The Russians began to retret along the whole line early, on Friday morning, devastating all the forms and even the growing cord. The Apstro Germans forced a crossing of the Vistula, north west of Ivangorod, on July 28 after heavy fighting.
The commanique admits withdrawal for several hundred yards
