July 13, 12 35 am, The Press Buresa states that the position of the Koenigsberg made the attack most difficult, as only shallow-draught ships were able to get sufficiently close to engage her effectively, Aircraft having accurately located the Koenigsberg, the monitors, on the 4th inst., entered the river and opened fire. The Koen geberg replied immediately with salvoes from five guns, with accuracy and rapidity. The Mersey was twice hit, one shell killing four and wounding four.
