Of the total river steamers enter: ed, 68.1 per cent. were British, 25.2 per cent. Chinese and 6.7 per cent. Portuguese.
"The steamers are all fitted throughout with electric light and have accommodation for a limited number of saloon-passengers. All steamers carry a duly qualified surgeon. Cargo taken at through rates to all ports in Netherlands-India and Australia."
